Would you pay for Pugmodder?
Posted: April 1st, 2010I’m sure you’re all aware of the Pugmodder situation by now with the amount of time it takes to do with just two of us and we know that you’re getting fed up of waiting for updates that never seem to come (so are we!)
The two of us are pondering over charging a membership fee to use the website and we’d like your opinions. Obviously nobody wants to pay for anything but it’s getting to the point now we just don’t have the time available to work on the project without some financial incentive.
To cut a long story short we think a yearly fee of £12 is fair (just £1 per month). We wouldn’t introduce this until the updates you’re all waiting for arrive.
Would you pay this? Or pay another amount or are you not prepared to pay at all? Bearing in mind we’re not talking about the current website features but new models, a range of new mods etc.
It would be really useful to hear your thoughts.

i would pay the £1 a month but not the £12 a year, because id like to pay for it on the months i use it so say i only use it 6 months of the year then it will only have cost me £6

wouldnt pay a yearly subsription. monthly or weekly would be far better for all concerned

Lets be honest, £12 a year is practically nothin

if you introduce this what about the people that dont have a credit card coz not old enough yet for my bank, other than that i think 12 quid is a reasonable amount of money jus i think there may be less customers coz there not gonna pay just to use it once or twice.

Definitely worth every penny…. IF the cars are produced..
im waiting for the flatarch.. but if you could produce say .. Saxo’s 306’s .. etc etc .. then its worth every penny !!!

definately worth 12quid at year but as mentioned previously i would prefer to be able to pay for individual months because lets be honest not everyone is going to be on this every day week and month of the year. i am very much willing to pay so long as the options are expanded ie more cars/mods to choose from. hope it all comes together lads!

I would def pay for this site if you decide to charge people for using the site. What about multiple choises of accounts, a possibility to pay for a year with a discount or something. 12 p/y, 4 p/q and 2 p/m. To solve the CreditCard issue, how about pay-pal.

If it has everything that your planning I would happily pay. Maybe £3 for 3 months? Or possibly make an arrangement with the clubs, 106OC Club306 etc and make it available to their paid for members so the clubs incorporate it into their sign up fee?

If you made the 207 with mods like angel eyes and alloys we could maybe do somthing together. For paid members to use plus non paid to pay whenever the use monthly

i think if we ever see anything happen then maybe people would pay a monthly charge, but i dont think its wise to bother asking that at the moment considering none of the promised updates have come in over 2 years and the flat arch is still coming soon…

as someone else said i fink u shud add more cars not just the 106 then also like said above ask car clubs see if they want to pay so much a year to help u get this up quicker and allow there paying members to acces for free and then u could also do it so ppl could pay £5 a year just for this site seem reasonable

can’t say i would, think it’s a waste of money if paying for it. but it is handy to see what your car would look like on it, but nah i wouldn’t pay for it.

Hey There was just surfing through the social bookmark sites looking for some new interesting material when i discovered this post on yahoo search.
