Would you pay for Pugmodder?
Posted: April 1st, 2010I’m sure you’re all aware of the Pugmodder situation by now with the amount of time it takes to do with just two of us and we know that you’re getting fed up of waiting for updates that never seem to come (so are we!)
The two of us are pondering over charging a membership fee to use the website and we’d like your opinions. Obviously nobody wants to pay for anything but it’s getting to the point now we just don’t have the time available to work on the project without some financial incentive.
To cut a long story short we think a yearly fee of £12 is fair (just £1 per month). We wouldn’t introduce this until the updates you’re all waiting for arrive.
Would you pay this? Or pay another amount or are you not prepared to pay at all? Bearing in mind we’re not talking about the current website features but new models, a range of new mods etc.
It would be really useful to hear your thoughts.

i would pay the £1 a month but not the £12 a year, because id like to pay for it on the months i use it so say i only use it 6 months of the year then it will only have cost me £6

wouldnt pay a yearly subsription. monthly or weekly would be far better for all concerned

if you introduce this what about the people that dont have a credit card coz not old enough yet for my bank, other than that i think 12 quid is a reasonable amount of money jus i think there may be less customers coz there not gonna pay just to use it once or twice.

Definitely worth every penny…. IF the cars are produced..
im waiting for the flatarch.. but if you could produce say .. Saxo’s 306’s .. etc etc .. then its worth every penny !!!

definately worth 12quid at year but as mentioned previously i would prefer to be able to pay for individual months because lets be honest not everyone is going to be on this every day week and month of the year. i am very much willing to pay so long as the options are expanded ie more cars/mods to choose from. hope it all comes together lads!

I would def pay for this site if you decide to charge people for using the site. What about multiple choises of accounts, a possibility to pay for a year with a discount or something. 12 p/y, 4 p/q and 2 p/m. To solve the CreditCard issue, how about pay-pal.

If it has everything that your planning I would happily pay. Maybe £3 for 3 months? Or possibly make an arrangement with the clubs, 106OC Club306 etc and make it available to their paid for members so the clubs incorporate it into their sign up fee?

For people who aren’t old enough to have cards, maybe they could pay in sweets or pokemon cards? :p
